Choosing the Best Eyeshadow Palette

Finding the best eyeshadow palette depends on your situational needs. If you always apply your eyeshadow at home, then you may benefit from a larger eyeshadow palette with highly pigmented shades that can be applied wet or dry. Or if you do a lot of traveling and spend time in the cab, shuttle, or airplane then you might need a palette that comes in a compact case, which makes it easy for storing and traveling. And maybe you are not a consistent traveler but you are going on vacation. In that case, you may want to carry both a large case for the hotel and a smaller, portable case for the plane.

Other considerations are the surface and size of the case. Some cases have a matte surface, while others are plastic. You also need to pay attention to the eyeshadow pots. Some people like quarter size pots with plenty of powder for many excessive uses. And if you are not looking for a great deal of shimmer in the palette then you can always dust the shimmer over top.

Whatever eyeshadow palette you select, make sure that it will be in accordance with your lifestyle and personality. Remember, most palettes can come with every eyeshadow color under the sun. That is not as important as the style of the case and the palette. If you have big fingers, for example, you may not want to deal with dime pots. Instead, you might prefer one-inch or two-inch rectangle pots. And size is a big factor, especially when you travel. There is nothing like being in the cab or the shuttle and you don’t have a small, portable eyeshadow case to pull out of your purse. You are likely already stressed so you don’t need the extra panic that comes with not having your eyeshadow case nearby. Finally, once you open the case, you need an eyeshadow palette that is easy on your fingertips as well.
